The Range Powershift (RPS34) was one of the best tranies produced at the time. The 970s were certified at 86 to 93 PTO HP depending on when produced. The 9's big brother the 1070 used the identical tranny and was rated at 108 PTO HP. We as dealers turboed many 9s and 10s with no perticular adverse affects, as long as the operator didn't over weight and over tire them afterwards. A turboed 970 would push 142 HP.
