The 47% comment from Romney seems to have been misunderstood. I listened to the whole clip and it seems he was saying that there is 47% of the people that will never vote for him and he's not going to worry about them, implying he's not going to expend resources trying to get them to vote for him. I don't think the implication is he won't respond to them or address their issues if elected. He was making a statement that they won't vote for him so he isn't worried about their support and focus his efforts on people that actually might vote for him.
