Might get some fuel filters. If there is crud in the tank the filter will clog, the engine will rpm limit. Replace the filter and go at it again. When you get all the crud out of the tank you will quit going through filters. BTDT
Also if you have a 2 stage filter and water bleed, drain the water before you start if there is any.
You could pop the injectors before you turn it over and squirt some penetrating oil down the holes, or use some fogging oil like marine engines use for winter storage. Then spin it over while the injectors are still out which will relieve the cranking compression and also purge your fuel lines of some fuel.
Then put the injectors back in and fire it up....realizing that you will have to bleed the injectors first.
I always like to get some lube on the cylinder walls before I light off an engine that has been sitting for awhile.
