Thanks everyone for the helpful information. After reading your replies I remember my friend's dad has an aftermarket 3pt on his M, uses it for a 3pt sickle mower and for moving round bales even though it get light in the front end with some of those bales. I agree with one who replied, that it isn't the same as a tractor with factory 3pt. I am looking toward the future and seeing what I can do to make the tractor more useful. Just about everything I can do with pull-type implements except cultivate crops and (easily) move round bales. Ideally I'd like to have another tractor, but have to work with what I have for now.
