We put a new rope seal in our Massey 135 diesel and ran it about 3 hrs. The rope seal still leaks. We have no blow by, good oil pressure when warm, and very good compression. We think the main bearings are worn causing play. With the rope seal being new and installed correct, what's the chance of the rope seal stop leaking if main bearings are replaced. Any suggestions to help avoiding breaking the tractor in half again. I hope someone has had this problem before.
