I have an old 2 cyl. JD 520, that has been kept in very good shape. However, the other day my son ran out of gas while disking the garden. He added more gas, but it wouldn't start. It seemed hot - and there was a little smoke coming out of the left side - cover over flywheel/starter area. I let it cool down - now it starts right up - but shuts off as soon as I take my foot off of the starter pedal. Any ideas?
