With hay cleaned out of baler, trip tying mechanism by turning measure wheel, turn flywheel(CCW facing it) until PH face is in the center of the first feeder fork slot, measure from the tip of feeder fork to the measurement in operators manual(it's been to long to remember correct inches on a 14T) but it should be 10-13 inches, continue turning flywheel until needle tips are just even with the top of the lower bale case channels(part that curves up at each bottom slot in BC,plungerhead tips should be even with needle tips IE should be 1-1/2- 2 inches between PH face & needle tips with needle tips flush with channel uprights. I probably left out something as it's been over 35 yrs since I timed a 14T or 214. Later model JD sq balers are easier to time for me.
