Just tried my 24T in the field. Worked great for 1 and a half bales. The feeder auger quit turning. Long story short, the rear gear case that turns the shaft 90 degrees to run the knotter and feeder auger lost a cotter pin. On the shaft that enters the gear box there is a cotter pin that keeps the shaft from moving backwards. This wore through and allowed the shaft to move towards the rear of the baler allowing the drive gear to come off of its key. Now I need to re-time the baler. So if you haven't already checked that little cotter pin, DO SO!!!!!
Any tips on how to re-time it? The manual is somewhat understandable, just looking for some experienced insider tips.
