You CAN sue a government agency for not doing it's job. in some cases it has helped, if in only convinceing the head of that body not to run for re-election. when the local police/ sherifs' dept sits on their tails too long, you gotta raise cain with the agencys that they answer to. put in a call to the state police and complain that you take their lack of action as a clear sign that they are accomplices with the theif. Mostly, it will not help. But at least you tryed. In my county 3 years ago we had the largest bust of a weed growing operation in county history. one large house and garage totaly devoted to wacky tobacky. raid done by state police and deputys from a neighboring county. why???. the accused was the retired DA and the house was 3 blocks from the front door of the sherifs dept!!!!
