To get on topic I have three Farmall M tractors. Now for the question. 1981 Ford, 300 inch, F-100.Three speed plus O/D transmission. Ford used two transmissions that are similar, The Aluminum case SROD three speed plus O/D, and the Aluminum case RTS three speed plus O/D. I know that I have the aluminum case so that eliminates the other transmissions. How do I know which one is in my truck? Maybe someone out there used to work for Ford and can answer my question.
