Yesterday I posted a silo filling photo. This photo was taken the same year, 1948, from the other side of the barn, looking north. My Grandmother's handwriting is on it. I think she took pictures of the farm because it was right after my Grandfather died and she didn't know how long she would be able to keep it. My Father was ill at the time and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. Luckly he got better and took over the farm. The Barn is now gone, replaced by a metal one but the land is still in the family. My brother now lives on the homestead.
