I recently bought a subsoiler to loosen and pull up roots in new ground and to run through my coastal bermuda hayfield. My problem is that when I let the 3 point hitch lever down all the way, the subsoiler only goes into the ground about 8 inches at best. The 3 point hitch is not going all the way to the ground, either. It seems like there is no pressure to push the subsoiler deeper. I hear about folks pulling subsoilers at 16-22 inches, so what is the trick to getting one to run that deep? By the way, I'm using a single shank subsoiler with an International 464.
