You say forth gear, then talk about the high,low, reverse lever positions. SO is your problem with forth gear or with the high low lever? The arm for the high low fork is the weak link there and can get twisted so it could affect going into high and low. If that happens the lid needs to come off. Pull the shifter shaft out and just weld the arm back on the shaft . They break in the o-ring groove. We just weld them up and grind them down to slide in the hole without the o-ring.
