Lou I'm just saying if you have time that simple phone call can save a lot of trouble. I wake up with someone in my bedroom HE better call 911, don't ask for the cops, ask for the EMT's, cops are going to be way too late.
But time permitting I'm calling first. It may not be right that some prosecutors are charging people based on personal beliefs and not the letter of the law but it is happening. That call that girl made not only proves she tried to avoid shooting but also that she had no choice. Didn't take the cops very long to determine that she did nothing wrong. Without that tap they would still be investigating for God knows how long giving her no closure until they are done.
Retired cop here says everyone should have a small barky dog that will wake them if someone tries to break in. I guess that's one soultion to waking up with someone at the foot of your bed or still outside trying to get in.
