Welllllll if a body has to wear seat belts while driving to save lives, looks to me like not texting while driving is even more of a life saver...My neighbors recently got rear ended by a teen dude who was texting instead of keeping his eyes on the road. Driving is a privelige NOT a right. Im normally NOT a fan of big brother big government nanny state regulations mind you, let people do as they please SO LONG AS IT DONT HARM OTHERS, BUT when their chosen actions get others killed, now thats a whole other story.
Ya know folks used to get by just fine BEFORE cell phones and texting while driving, so dont tell me its any normal life necessity. I wonder how many innocent folks have to die before they ban texting while driving??? If it happended to some politicians wife or daughter bet they will lead the charge. If people drive drunk (impaired driving) and kill someone they go to jail (as they should) so what if someone was impaired by texting and kills an innocent person??????
