There is a good bit of them that you can see from I-65 as you drive north towards chicago, IL.
Everytime I've driven that way it seems like at least half of them are broken because in a random pattern some are turning and most aren't.
I bet it costs a fortune to get up there and work on those turbines.
I've never heard anybody say that it is a bad idea to make power out of wind, but that is theory.
The application is that they cost a great deal of money, are unreliable, are ugly, make noise, damage birds and drop property values anywhere near them.
