The horizontal turret auger needs to be timed to the fountain auger and the best way to do that is spray a paint mark through the access door on top. After the bottom is out and you lower the old auger down then index the paint mark against the housing. Note where the top of the curl is on the old auger because that is where the top of the curl needs to be on the replacement. Don't wait till the day before going to the field as even with all that observation you can still get it "out of time" due to lining up the spline. You will have to run it to know if something is not right as it will probably clunk when you run it. If it does clunk then you will have to look through the access door on top to see if it needs to be advanced a spline or the opposite.
