I was not bothered with bee or wasp stings either until ten years ago. We where cleaning out an old shed after my Grand Father died. He was a pack rat. I got stung three or four times that one day by wasps. The last time I got a little sick at my stomach. Did not think anything about it.
A few weeks later I got stung by one of the little black Bumble bees, the mean little suckers. I got stung on the right side of my face. Within just a few minutes my right eye had swelled shut. The whole side of my head swelled too. I rushed to the hospital. They gave me several shots and the swelling took a few days to go down.
Since then I swell up real bad with bees or wasps. Doctor says that you can loose your resistance to them. I did after I was 50 years old.
