Hey CJ, get yourself a old rear-tine tiller. You can get right up next to the corn row no matter how tall it is. Just make sure to wear long sleeves once it s chest-high :)
We used to grow an acre of sweet corn, but now I just grow enough for my extended family to freeze. I used to cultivate with an old back-breaker tiller. When I finally got a rear-tine I felt like kicking myself in the butt a thousand times for not doing it earlier. Weeding with a new tiller is downright relaxing.
