Still working on onan engine. See my post from 6-17-11. This is on brother-in-law's skid loader. He took the coil to a small engine shop and they told him the coil was bad. He bought a new coil and installed it. Engine started and ran fine for five minutes. He then let it sit for 45 minutes and then it started and ran for eight minutes. After it quit, we seem to have no spark to plugs. There is, however, power to the small terminals on coil. The engine is a model 218G-I/105508 with a serial number of 888 332 7934. I read somewhere online about some onan engines having a thermal shutdown, but wouldn't that shut off power to the coil? Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions?
