3-point Scoop...what features?

I have about 40 yards of topsoil to spread with my N (don't tell me about dozers, I gotta prove to my wife I need the N) over an area that is already level. It's an old gravel building subgrade that I want to make into a sports feild so my kids have a level place to play. I tried to spread it with a back blade, but it's too far to scrape. So my new plan is to scoop it and distribute it in little piles, and then spread it with my back blade and my Zane Thang equipped 2N. Am I on the right track? If so, then what features do I want in a scoop? Does anybody have a brand they like? What do they cost? Thanks
