Darren, I own a 656 diesel hydro and love it. I am using it primarily for pto work, raking hay... no ground work. I would not use it for plowing or heavy disking to save the transmission. Hydro's are not cheap to repair, however, once you own one, you will not give it up. I would get the hydro for your everyday tractor and some cheap geared horsepower for the plowing. We also own an 806 diesel. Tough tractor, definitely would take care of your 20 acres with lots to spare. Check out the TA on them before buying.
