David it is OK to use a Hydro for ground work, you lose about 10hp at drawbar or hitch. The main thing to do with the Hydro is to use the shift control and not the foot and inch valve (clutch) to control your ground speed. Stay around the blue line on quadrant for max power. If you keep oil and filter clean and operate as manual suggests, it is hard to wear out. hope you enjoy the Hydro they are the tops. Clarence
