Don't take this the wrong way, but if you just have horses and goats you should be buying small-square bales anyhow. $10 to move a round bale a couple of feet is ridiculous. A Farmall 400 or 450 would suit your needs. But if you have to use round bales you need a spear to put on the back of the tractor to move bales. They cost about $120 new but I you have a welder they can be easily made. If you but a small-square baler John Deere(models 14-T,24-T) or New Holland(models probaly 66,77) brands are the best and parts are readily available.I baled 700-800 bales this summer with a 24-T without a breakdown.IH parts are available but IH's(#45,46) tie loose bales. Allis,Massey,Ford,Oliver are best to stay away from because of parts rarity. Doesn't really matter what brand of rake you buy, tines are kind of universal and keep everything greased you won't need many parts. You will need a sickle bar to cut the hay, unless you can afford a mower-conditioner which makes the hay dry much faster because of the rolls(useually rubber that crimp the moisture out. Good Luck!
