Yes, the blocks are interchangeable. There are differences in the head, upper valve train and valve cover, but the block castings are the same with one minor difference: The breather tube on the F14 has a clamp holding it to the block. Some early F12 blocks (perhaps all of them, I'm not sure) do not have the threaded boss in the block casting that this clamp bolts to. As far as I know, the blocks are otherwise identical.
