I just purchase a farmall c. According to the hood, it is a super c. As I look at the serial number on the tractor (2249) it would appear to be a 48 C. The engine has the number 3158 on the flat spot on the right side of the engine. It also has what looks to be RMAM or RMAN and it also has the letter G stamped in the upper right hand corner of the block. Also on the right hand side of the engine where it bolts up to the bell housing you, the cast of the engine curves in exposing some of the bell housing flange and one bolt hole not used. Would this engine be out of a B farmall or A farmall. My other C has the engine flange and the bell housing the same. Do you think it is a remanufactured engine? C not super C?
