A couple of other thoughts -
crank by hand and make sure youre not losing compression around spark plugs. I did last winter, and needed new gaskets. My 41A has a plug just above the carb that I use sometimes to prime with ether - dont bother spraying in the intake, it wont make it through the oil bath. Make sure your new plugs arent fouled already.
