Touch Control Overloading

1959 Farmall 240 Touch Control suddenly closes and loads hydraulic pump after about two hours of work. For some reason, only after the hydraulic oil gets hot, the pump suddenly labors dramatically as if trying to lift an impossible load with no movement of lift lever. The rear drawbar cylinder still lifts and lowers when this occurs, but the tractor must be stopped for several hours to let the oil cool down before the pump stops working with excessive pressure. Anyone had this problem or know the solution? Note: system very similar to older Super "C".
