Anyone out there ever re-used their old emblems off the hood of a Farmall tractor with the "chrome" metal emblems. The mid-fifties tractors had them like the 100, 200, 130, 230, 350, etc. The emblems read "McCormick", "Farmall", and "100" on both sides.
Thanks to everyone that helped me get them taken off the hood off my Farmall 100. The method you told me worked absolutely great! Now that I have them off the hood, and the hood is now painted; I'd like to clean them up and polish them before putting them back on.
What is the best way to fix them so they look like new. Should I re-coat them or re-paint them?
