The old guy I bought my 1956 450D from showed me a hole that he had drilled in the tin on the left side just in front of the light bar. He said the "divider valve" sometimes gets stuck and he would just put a punch through the hole and give it a tap and it would work again. I've never had to do it though and I don't know if he really knew what he was talking about, but he had all IH and was a good farmer in his day.
