My generator quit charging this week. I have a 51 Super A all new wiring about 6 yrs ago. New brushes 1 yr ago. When I go thru the trouble shooting flow chart and get to step 3, Jumper BAT & GEN terminals (I have to jumper from the ARM terminal on battery because the GEN terminal is behind the regulator)the amp gauge burries itself on the Discharge side. When I go to step 4, Jumper the FLD terminal at regulator to ground, the amp gauge goes 100% Discharge. What's going on???? My plan is to install an alternator but would like explanation of this malfunction. Dean
