Valve adjustment has little affect on stumbling inconsistent running. The fuel delivery does have that affect. The new carb may need to be opened and checked (if you are new to this process, it may be good to have someone with carb diagnosis skills check it out while running. We do not know what the conditions are that surround the effort you are making. Was it running well before? Why was the Carb replaced? Were any other parts replaced before it started this action, or the carb replaced? Help us help you. JimN
