Yes, that is true that new posts may be driven down the page, BUT with the newer software you can click on "get new posts" and you will get a list of all the new posts since you last visited.

This is the only forum that I visit that has stuck with the old software... and I don't mind it, but the new stuff has benefits.

I always make a point to check page 2 and even 3 if I haven't visited in a day or two. I keep going until I see a post that I've already read...
