2404 Loader advice needed

While lifting about a 750# crate with my 2404 IH tractor w/ 2000 loader, I heard a small crunching noise, and the loader would not lift any higher. After getting the crate disconnected and the tractor moved, the loader will not lift at all, and the bucket won't curl either. It is powered by a front crankshaft driven pump (17 GPM). The pump shaft is not slipping, and there are no hoses broken. Is it possible that a relief valve stuck open? Where would be a good place to start checking for a problem?
