I don't think there are shims in the pump relief system. The spring (as far as I ever encountered) is not usually stressed in use letter series use such that it requires shimming. The pump body ro gear clearances, and end cover clearances are very important. There may be one washer used as a spring seat, but the parts book would show it. Others may have more info. JimN
