Sticking my head out here a bit, but there is a kill wire that grounds out the points through the ignition switch on most B&S motor powered mowers. This connection is normally connected to the points (may also be mounted on a plate that has throttle controls on it if the throttle can shut the motor off to like on 70�s vintage Snapper mowers). The other one could be for the generator as you suspected, again located under the flywheel. I�d pull the shroud and start looking for wire ends that match the torn off wires. Hope this helps�
