The only kit that I can think of the Case IH offered for IH products would be the replacement of the sprag type Torque Amplifier unit with a Mechanical-Diode type Torque Amplifier clutch. It is supposed to just make the TA handle more stress and take longer to wear out. To me, it sounds like your range shifter went out of adjustment, or that the fork in the range trans. broke or bent. I am no expert on the 50 series tractors though. Good luck.
