Late Model 140 Questions

I have a 1959 Farmall 140 and am
considering buying another 140 that is a 1979
model which, I am led to understand, is the
late year of 140 production.
Questions:
1) The fellow tells me the serial number is
66XXX, but looking at the serial numbers of
registered 140s on the YT site the only 1979
140 shown has a 61XXX serial number.
Where do I go to find 1979 production serial
number information for a 140 (the YT
reference site only goes through 1975).
2) I understand there were safety related
changes such as the clutch/starter switch
interlock. Are there any other significant
changes made to the late 1970's 140
Farmalls that make it more difficult or increase
the hassle factor?
