when U had the compressor checked what did they do? check freon,oil,belt,make sure the clutch works.
A new cab is impossible to get as there are not hardly any after market cab mfg companies left. I would have a mechanic that knows AC check it out. It can be very very expensive to fix. Figure a new receiver dryer, expansion valve, maybe a condenser fan motor or who knows. But be prepared to spend some $ if it has major problems
