Kevin: I think you may have a bit of wear coming into play as well. I remember having to do rebuilding on my 656 and 1066 by the time they were 10 years old. I might add they also had close to 8,500 hours on them by that time as well. I felt the semi-mount plow was quite hard on these linkages. The side draft on those large implements is quite vicious, especially when you are allowing it some side float and it hits the limit. Not sure you will ever completely master using the catergory III hitch as II. IH may have felt their operators manual had all the answers, I for one didn't. I found the 656 hitch far superior in catergory II applications.
