Aftermarket Tachometer: Need a Novel Idea

I don't know if I ever asked about this on this forum, but I'm gonna try (again) anyway... We recently had my Dad's 756 gas converted to diesel using an IH DTA360 out of a 1987 prison bus. Problem is, there's no place to connect the mechanical drive for the tachometer because of the Bosch inline pump. Does anybody know where to buy a 3000 RPM tachometer that uses a Hall effect sensor, senses impulses from the injector pump, or operates off impulses from the alternator? I found the perfect tach, manufactured by Faria Performance Instruments, but nobody sells them.
