Jim: It's easily worth $500. I bought a stuck Super C this winter, and had it freed up in a couple of days. Assuming it's lightly stuck, filling the cylinders with your favorite concoction (diesel, Marvel Mystery Oil, PB Blaster, ATF, or turpentine are all popular), putting it in 4th gear, and gently rocking it should break it loose. If it's more serious (as mine was) you can pull the head in less than an hour and tap the pistons free with a block of wood and a BFH. The C is an excellent tractor--not too large, not too small--and I'd grab it in a heartbeat!
