Each one has it's advantages. The Woods gives a little smoother cut (in my opinion), but the Mott won't throw rocks or sticks. The Mott's biggest drawback is that if you are trying to mow tall (front wheel high) stringy grass such as fescue, it tends to wrap up around shaft. I have owned both, and decided to sell the Woods and keep the Mott.
