However, from what you describe, your battery is dead which probably means you are not getting a charge. The problem could simply be that you need to polarize the generator, or the prob is somewhere in the starter circuit.
I have a limited section on the Cub 154 Lo-Boy on the manual server at the link below. Owner's Manual, Parts Manual and a 54 Blade Manual. Hope that would be of some help. Cheers
