I have had H's that smoked because of a sudden switch from a 30w to a multi grade oil. The detergent additives seem to want to clean thee internals of the cylinder wall. If switched back to a straight 30w they would quit smoking. Also I have seen out of adjustment or dirty carbs cause tehm to smoke a lot. Does it smell like oil burning? Additionally I have had plugged crankcase vent lines cause excessive internal engine pressure which resulted in oil being forced past the rings. Good Luck ----Pa. Jed.
