My 1950 C carb housing had a hairline crack in. Leaked enough that it would flood itself out after shutting off the tractor. Ordered a new Carter carb from my local IHC dealer. Not sure about the availability of a Marvel-Schebler carb. If you are having to resort to using vise-grips to remove a screw then I am guessing that you aren't doing a full restore. Therefore if it were me I would get a new Carter carb where you know everything is ok. Just my $0.02 worth. Randy
