The tractor has a Delco-Remy ignition system. As for the coil, most 12 volt coils that went on the 6 cylinder GM engines should work. Your local auto parts store should be able to supply you with one. I have never messed with the motorola alternators being used for 12 volt conversion. So I don't know how it is supposed to work. You can buy a Delco alternator with a built in / mounted regulator. This will take the single wire to the post on the back of it to the ammeter gauge if I remember correctly. I hope some of this info helps.
