I have been farming in central MS most of my life, and I know that most farmers (around here anyway) were not worried about a part being factory perfect, if it broke, then it was fixed the best way it could be (or the best he could afford). That might mean the replacement part he had to buy was welded, but it was better than what he broke. I know some "hobby" farmers can not understand this, but this is the facts of life on a farm. You do what you can with what you have. I have a working Cub made up from 3 tractors. It is the best Cub I've ever had.
