Yes, you could bale with the H. Lots of folks have done it and it has enough power to do the job. Might be a little short if you are planning to pull a wagon behind the baler, especially if you have any hills. However, I would suggest getting a little newer tractor that has a live PTO. An IH 424 is a nice utility type tractor with around 36 PTO HP and would do a good job with a baler. Also, hope you are doing this for the fun of it. If you think you are going to make money in your spare time doing hay, forget it.
