If you are not hung up on originality, all you will need is an ignition coil and a new ignition switch. Instead of a distributor, simply reuse the old mag distributor and points as follows: Unwire the points from the mag primary and reconnect to distributor side of the new ignition coil primary. Connect the other coil primary to the SWITCHED side the new ignition switch. Then remove the high voltage lead from the mag coil and and plug it into the ignition coil output nipple (you may need a longer wire) and you are finished. If there is any question about the condition of the old mag points and condenser it's a good idea to replace them with new when you make the changeover!
